Cinderella’s path within the story is clearly a path to god. Cinderella finds herself facing many obstacles, but still manages to keep her moral virtue. Even when she is broken inside by the life that she endures, she finds a way to be kind to others and stay true to her morals. For instance, when her step-sisters ruin her dress she finds her self upset however, in the newest version of the story, she still manages to be kind to the beggar that is on her step. This is the true path of the Christian as they are kind to others even though they have not been treated fairly themselves. Cinderella gives the beggar what she can and does so joyfully. The beggar turned out to be her fairy God mother whom took her kindness as a sign of good faith. Cinderella’s fairy God mother then performed a miracle, allowing Ella to go to the ball. Thus showing that good action can and will be rewarded if ones intention are pure. By allowing her to go to the ball her fairy God mother put her on the path to happiness, which allowed her to marry the prince and live in a magical castle. The path that Cinderella traveled is close to the path travelled by many christians. Like many christians Cinderella has faced harshness and unkindness, but still managed to keep her virtue. The castle and its riches can be compared to the kingdom of God, as in the kingdom of God there is no want or need for anything. Like the kingdom of God, the castle will provide Cinderella with all that she needs and desires, however she would not have gotten there without staying true to her morals and faith. Christians follow a similar path as they would not be able to get into heaven without pure intentions and actions. Cinderella’s path is completed as she has shown that even in the worst of circumstances a good Christian will not loose their virtue.
